At Bethany Church it would be impossible to do what we do without a family of volunteers and some employed staff. Alongside these, we have a leadership team of Elders, who, along with our Pastor, carry the responsibility for the doctrine, pastoring, and direction of the church.

Jason Mayhall

I was born in America (mostly raised in Louisiana) where I lived the formative years of my life. When I was eight years old, I recognised my sinfulness and need for forgiveness, and trusted Christ in response to the Gospel message. My wife, Candice, our 4 children, and I moved to the North East in 2019. We have served in churches of all sizes and shapes but feel most at home here at Bethany. We love good food, good craic, travelling, and a nice cuppa!
Mark Henderson
Originally from Belfast, I came over to the North East in 2006 and have made it my home. God has blessed me with a wife and 3 children and I desire to see my kids to grow up and know Jesus as their Lord. I put my faith in Christ aged 14 and it is a privilege to love and serve those attending Bethany.
Graeme Overman
I was born and brought up in the North East, and put my faith and trust in the Lord Jesus as a youngster having heard the Gospel many times. Having been members of much smaller churches in the past, my wife Lynne and I started attending Bethany in 2022 and became members in 2023. It’s both humbling and a privilege to be called to serve the Lord and the church members in this role.
Simon Rose
I was born in Coventry and gave my life to Jesus as a teenager. After university I lived in the East Midlands and moved to the North East in 2006. I am married to Kate and we have 2 teenage children. My heart is to see Bethany thrive, and I am fully committed to serving God and this church community.
Richard Rust
I am a servant of our Lord Jesus. 1 Corinthians 15:58 says, "always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labour is not in vain”. The highest use of your time is to serve God by serving others. Your service to the Lord is never wasted.
