In 2012, we partnered with Christians Against Poverty (CAP) to provide our local community with FREE Debt Help. We recognise that poverty can destroy lives. It robs people of joy, hope, and opportunities. It tears families apart, isolates those most in need of support, and leads many to believe there is no way out.

Through our Debt Centre, we meet with people often at their lowest point and give hope. Not only hope that they will become debt free financially, but also to tell them about the hope of Jesus. Prayer is offered at every visit and the gospel is shared through love and action.

Our Centre Manager, Jemma Jackson, and a team of befriender/volunteers work with CAP Head Office to help create budgets and a long-term debt solution. This process includes working on budgeting skills and life skills to help support people to stay debt free.

Often our support does not end there, and many clients become involved in the church, come to know Jesus for themselves, and experience His transformational power in their own lives.

In the 12 years the Debt Centre has been running, we have seen over 120 people become debt free either through being able to pay their debts back on a debt management plan or through Debt Relief Orders.
